It's
been far too long since my last Future Funk mix and, with crippling
popular demand* for another one, I finally pulled my finger out and
sorted it this weekend.
The theme here is modern takes on funk: so there's everything
from the sublime and soulful (Buscrates, Electric Wire Hustle,
Blackpocket) to bassy neck-snappers (Leonard DStroy, Lopez) via
out-and-out nu-funk gems (Darkhouse Fam, Max Butter, B.Bravo) and
leftfield electro-wonk (Salva, Funkineven).
It's all over the place stylistically but that's kind of the point. Strap yourself in and get your funk on...
